We have 2 new colors of Gloria doublette crepe, double-sided crepe paper from Werola. Strawberry/Fraise (which translates to strawberry/strawberry, fraise is strawberry in French, odd since it's made in Germany) and Yellow/Apricot. Strawberry/Fraise is close to the same color on both sides. We almost called it Strawberry/Watermelon, but it wouldn't fit in the name field. This is such a pretty color combination which will give a subtle color shade in flower making. Yellow/Apricot is a nice yellow with an orangey apricot color on the other side. It makes us think of candy corn at Halloween time. Also lovely colors in double-side crepe.

We know it's early, but now is the time to place your orders so you have plenty of inventory come October/November. Especially if you are making your own items to sell.
These Medallions make the prettiest ornaments and package toppers. They are perfect for the holiday season; Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Graduations, Birthdays and Anniversaries.
Start with a length of ribbon, gather one long edge, tie ends together. Then glue stacked Dresden decorations and stars. We used foam spacers to give them depth. You can also antique the Dresdens using easy painting techniques. Gold Dresdens are amazing for this project as well as the silver.

We could all use a little romance right about now, as winter is in full snowy glory here in the Mid-West, and on the East Coast.
We have been busy around here creating with some of our special materials. Our latest Dresden cone idea using a red single sided cone, a red/pink crepe paper party cup, and fuchsia single sided crepe paper.
To Make this charming hanging loves greeting, use our large arrow, rectangular doily in red, tiny silver flower border, and silver letters.
Using our large arrow again, with a red heart frame and fuchsia glass glitter, (Other glitter colors work well too.)
To order these items, follow one of the links on the right side.
Happy Valentine's Day!

We used 1 sheet each of butterflies W830 and W830a, 3 bunches of F3008 Tussie Mussies taken apart, and a few W850 centers to attach wires to the back of the butterflies. Just add your own white floral tape, 16 gauge covered wire, a thin bendable wire for butterflies, and a bit of pale green ribbon.
Sandwich a hooked length of thin wire to the backs of the butterflies with a dab of our favorite glue for Dresden's; Beacon 3-in-1 Craft glue, and a small circular motif such as our W850 star/flower to hold the wire, we formed a hook or circle at the top of the wire for maximum hold
Take apart three tussie mussie bunches, we used F1347.
Make a circle with the cloth covered wire using the thin wire to hold together. Gather a few flower sprigs and or wired butterflies and wrap onto wire circle with floral tape. Arranging as you go. Insert a ribbon bow and a loop to hang.
Start with our crepe paper party baskets, snip off motifs from our vintage scrapbook pictures and top them off with a whimsical flying Dresden scrap shape. Many floral designs to choose from.

Valentines day is upon us once again, and this year we have had so many requests for our Candy Cone Kits and instructions that we are posting a link to the detailed instructions, from our retail blog; Rose Mille.
Valentine Candy Cone Instructions
The nice thing about these instructions is that they can be applied to make cones for any occasion. The cones come in many colors, as do the party baskets and crepe papers.
It was only a few posts ago, but here is the project photo again.
A visual of the materials used:
This "Heart & Arrow" cone uses our Dresden; Cones - W1251-G, Hearts - 7601-39G, Arrows 7029-G, and Border W215-W, our Single Sided Crepe Paper in Pink, Party Cups in white (or ivory) with pink handles, and our German Glass Glitter in gold. We used a vintage heart shaped doily, silk ribbon and satin ribbon from Rose Mille. And some pink pearl craft paint, any will do.
For the "Key to my Heart Valentine cone, we used the same cone and vintage heart doily as above, Dresden key 7257, or 7529, the key hole W352, the same border W215-P but in pink, Hot Pink Single Sided Crepe Paper, Fuchsia Party Cups, German Glass Glitter in Gold, and Fuchsia silk ribbon and 1/4" fuschia seam binding from Rose Mille.
