It is so exciting that this Creative Connection event is happening in my back yard. Minneapolis is a mere 30 miles away! I guess I have a very large back yard. After living on both coasts where most of the action usually is, this event chose to take place right here in the middle, near me!
Another amazingly talented artist/friend of mine is Jennifer Murphy. You met her at Rose Mille in May during "Bloom", and now she will be teaching 2 different classes at TCC! If you missed her on Martha, here is a link to the video. Jennifer on Martha
When I was little, I used to make small bears all by hand, and give them away to my friends. The only thing I have left is the pattern. One of these days I will see If I can remember how to make them, being there are no instructions. But if I could make them when I was 9, I am sure I can figure it out. When I do, I will share it.
Jennifer is in a totally different league, her work is exceptional. She learned from her mom who also makes gorgeous bears. Like me, Jennifer started making animals at a very early age, but she just never stopped. To be able to take her class would be thrilling for me, I would learn soooo much, but alas I must attend my booth. But maybe she could be convinced to do a trade with me. Hmmmm I can teach her wool hat blocking......??
Jennifer has written all about her classes for The Creative Connection on her blog, I just cannot do it justice, so please follow this link if you would like to know more; Jennifer's Blog about TCC.
