It's time to redo my office, actually from now on it should be considered "the office". My husband Bob is moving in! Due to recent 'budget' cuts, he was a victim of a large corporate layoff, and is in need of a new workspace. Wait a minute, he has a workshop in our walk-out "basement". On second thought, he will need a desk to help with the business side of things.
In the middle of painting the room from a deep plum to a very soft gray we decided that a "built-in" storage/shelving cabinet was in order. So all the things that moved onto my dining/kitchen table will have to stay there for a while.
No problem, what's a few days patience for a custom built-in shelving cabinet? We'll eat out!
The base is in place.
Cabinet one - so far so good.
Cabinet two, and one more in the middle.
And now the paint. The gray walls are done, and some of the office supplies have made it back into the office.
Now for some long overdue window treatments. Should I use vintage white sheets with embroidery on the edges like Lizzie did at Chateau Dumas? Or how about natural linen with white crocheted edges? Oh, I'm thinking silk taffeta gown style, just wait until you see what I am going to do!!! Bob won't mind - they won't be pink!
I will keep you posted.
